Senior || Geoffery

Shooting Geoffery was exciting for many reasons. First, he was my first guy senior in a super long time. Second, I got to use my new camera, the Canon 5d Mkii, for the first time on a client's shoot. *geeks out* Anyway, we had great light, the trees started to turn colors as we shot at a great location, so naturally this shoot couldn't really go wrong.

Geoffery is a really great guy. He is super smart. He aspires to study psychology. His favorite super hero is Spiderman. And hates to get dressed up and have his picture taken. Hopefully, I made the shoot as painless as possible.

Senior || Taylor

Taylor is a gentle spirit. 

She loves to help people. With a ready smile, she puts everyone to ease. Her big, beautiful smile and heart made me so excited to photograph her. 

Her photo shoot was so much fun, we had amazing light, great locations and plenty of laughter and smiles.

Senior || Morgan

Morgan is a beautiful and tall girl.

She is so full of dreams and ideas about what her future will hold, from running on the track team in college to being a teacher. She has such a huge heart for kids, which makes me so excited to see what kind of teacher she will be one day and how she will impact lives.

Morgan, thank you for letting me take your pictures. You are gorgeous and have an incredibly bright future!

VSCO Film 04

For almost a whole year, I have been a loyal VSCO film user. Starting with the 02 pack, I fell in love with the look it left upon my images and the ease and speed of which my images were edited. Earlier this year I knew I wanted to get another pack and was set on getting the 01 pack next. Then VSCO Film 04 was released. As soon as a glanced at the results I knew I needed it. The bold and bright colors popped off my screen and I fell in love with VSCO Film again.

I spent the weekend becoming familiar with the new set and worked through picture from my July trip to Petoskey with an old friend. After playing with it, and learning the "language" of VSCO Film 04, I give to you my take on VSCO Film 04.

Newborn || Baby William

Baby William is a very special little man.

Not only is William a gorgeous baby, he was born into a loving family with plenty of siblings to play with and learn from, but he was also born with a special mark that tells the world, "I was made special." And I love it.

Taking pictures of William was my first venture in newborn photography and I loved it. I loved capturing all the little details and moments between mother and son.
